Dr. Ghazvini is a specialist in electrophysiology procedures aimed at correcting various cardiac arrhythmias. He has extensive experience in performing cardiac ablations and implanting pacemakers, biventricular devices, and defibrillators. Notably, he is a pioneer in catheter ablation without using X-rays, which is particularly beneficial for patients who wish to avoid excessive X-ray exposure. He has performed over a thousand such procedures, including on pregnant patients, with excellent outcomes and a very low complication rate.
Dr. Ghazvini is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He has served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology and the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory at Howard University Hospital and College of Medicine for nine years. Currently, he is the Director of Cardiac Ablation and Electrophysiology at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. He is also recognized as a distinguished teacher and educator.
